Our Butler's Sloe Gin evokes images of the Palace Butler in his pantry, late at night after a satisfying day serving the Duke and his family, sipping a nightcap before retiring to bed. This is our second gin from our partnership with local Sky Wave Distillery in Bicester, based less than 15 miles away from the Palace.
It is a sloe gin with a difference. Many sloe gins are overly-sweet and unctuous - in fact, they are not actually gin at all, but are gin liqueurs. We have captured the wonderful flavours of the sloe berries but without adding all that extra sugar. The result is a fine, true gin, in which the juniper is evident, but with the distinctive taste of the berries coming through.
Distilled with the Blenheim orange apple from the Palace gardens, as one of six of the finest botanicals from the Blenheim Estate. The natural flavours of the sloe berries are then added before resting and bottling the result.
